Grand Crowne Resorts, Branson
History and Ownership

Surrey started as a timeshare development and sales company in 1991. Since 1993 it has been a Missouri corporation in good standing. The sole shareholder is Charles J. (C.J.) Perme. Mr. Perme is a life-long resident of the area and has been involved in real estate development in Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri for over 20 years. Mr. Perme is also the owner of L & J Consolidated Enterprises, Inc., a construction and development company incorporated in Arkansas in 1981. With C.J. as head of this company, it has served as the general contractor for construction at all projects of Surrey Vacation Resort and Grand Crowne Resorts from the beginning to the finished product. W.C.I., a construction management company, handles all the management details from hiring of the sub-contractors that are needed for the different building phases to preparing progressive reports and meetings with the executive level on financial draws, expenses, etc.

A nine acre tract of land within the city limits of Branson, Missouri was purchased in 1991 and construction of Surrey Vacation Resorts began shortly after acquisition. "Surrey" contains 28 Townhouse units, all of which are complete and sold out as timeshare. These Victorian-style townhomes have three bedrooms and two and a half baths. Each condo features a private entrance and deck, as well as designer furnishings and top-of-the-line appliances.

In 1996, Surrey began construction of the Carriage Place condominiums. Situated on the 9 acre tract adjacent to "Surrey", the Carriage Place offers both Victorian and traditional design. The architectural-designed, landscaped greenbelt and walks provide a beautiful setting for these three-bedroom condos. Each building features elevators, luxurious furnishings and special penthouse units with skylights and vaulted ceilings. Carriage Place has a total of four condominium buildings, known as: Building G with 32 units, Building H with 30 units, Building I with 50 units and Building B with 30 units. The construction of Carriage Place, Phase III and IV, was completed in 1999 and sold out. All the buildings are steel constructed with elevators.

The remaining land to be developed on the 9 acre tract was suitable for a five (5) story, ninety (90) unit Hotel Condominium building. In 1993, Mr. Perme also incorporated Surrey Management Company, Inc. With this company, he owns and operates 150 unit motel known as the Surrey Inn. Surrey Inn and Grand Crowne Travel strive to make our tour guests comfortable and happy while they are visiting the resort with a wonderful mini-vacation at the motel and show tickets to see some of the entertainment Branson has to offer.
