Building Plans

Recognized as one of the most vibrant small communities in the country, Branson is an ideal place to start a business or enjoy retirement. A healthy economy and moderate cost of living mean that those looking for a place to "Have It All" need look no further than the Branson/Lakes Area.

Within this section you will find information about the services and facilities available to those searching for a new community in which to live, work and play. While Branson is small in population, it has all the accoutrements of a large community...and then some! Combined with robust economy, well-funded schools and lovely residential areas, you’ll find a community that cares about its neighbors. Although we can go on and on about this remarkable place, you really need to visit the area and see it for yourself.

Economic Development in the Branson/Lakes Area is handled by the City of Branson and the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB. Current projects include but are not limited to the City of Branson's RecPlex, Branson Hills Plaza and Branson Landing, along with major developments in the Branson Meadows area. The City of Branson's new 42-acre state-of-the-art sports and recreation complex in Branson Hills will combine fitness, recreation, and organized athletics at one convenient location. The completed 44,000 square foot recreation center will feature two gymnasiums, a fitness center, indoor track, locker rooms, community rooms, game room, and a concession area. HCW Development Company and the City of Branson are developing one of the nation's most attractive and dynamic mixed-use projects situated on a 95-acre site in America's heartland called Branson Landing. Located on Lake Taneycomo, Branson Landing will blend retail, hotel, convention center, condominium and theater space in a master planned facility, complimented by nature's own beauty the scenic Ozark Mountains and Tri-Lakes Area. For more information, visit www.cityofbranson.org or www.bransonlanding.com.

Branson Hills Plaza, a new 141-acre development is located at the northwest corner of the U.S. Highway 65 and Bee Creek Road interchange. Target and Home Depot will anchor the first phase of the multi-phase development along with a number of other retailers, including TJ Maxx, and several restaurants. Plans are to open in April 2006. Phases two and three will include the development of more shops and restaurants over the next four years. The first phase will cost $33 million and include 300,000 square feet of space available for lease, and over the next 10 years, Branson Hills Plaza will expand to 1-million square feet.
